This policy explains what personal data Jyolsyan collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Jyolsyan is an online platform connecting people with independent astrologers and poojaris for consultation. Jyolsyan is operated by Zartek Technologies Private Limited, registered at Kerala Technology Innovation Zone, Kinfra Hi-Tech Park, Kalamassery, Kochi, Kerala, India.
For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary in respect of the personal data described in this policy, and you are the Data Principal.
At present, Jyolsyan is pre-launch and operates a waiting list. We collect only the following.

What we do not collect
We do not ask for your birth date, birth time or birth place on this website. We do not collect your email address, address, payment details, identity documents, or any special category data. We do not collect precise geolocation.
Under the DPDP Act, we process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit the form. That consent is specific to the purposes below, and you can withdraw it at any time.
We will not send you marketing messages unrelated to this launch, sell your data, rent it, or share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only to the extent needed to run this service.

We may also disclose personal data where required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a government authority, and in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets — in which case we will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Your data is stored on servers operated by the providers listed above, which may be located outside India. Where data is transferred outside India, we rely on the contractual and security commitments those providers make, and on transfers being permitted under section 16 of the DPDP Act. We do not transfer personal data to any country to which such transfers are restricted by the Central Government.
If you never engage with Jyolsyan after launch, we will erase your waiting list entry at the end of that period without you having to ask.
This website does not use cookies for advertising unless you have consented. If advertising measurement is active, the Meta Pixel and Google tag may set identifiers that let us see which campaign led to a signup. These record the fact of a signup, not what you selected on the form.
We also store a small record in your browser's local storage so that if your connection fails mid-submission, your entry is not lost and can be re-sent. It holds only what you entered and is cleared once the submission succeeds. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser, and opt out of personalised advertising through Meta's ad preferences and Google's ad settings.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@jyolsyan.com from the context of the number you registered, or send us a WhatsApp message from that number. We respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Jyolsyan is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted their details to us, contact privacy@jyolsyan.com and we will erase the record.
We apply reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure and loss, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site, access controls on our records, and limiting access to staff who need it. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected users as required by law.

We will update this policy as Jyolsyan develops — particularly at launch, when we begin collecting birth details and processing payments. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page, and where the change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will notify you directly and, where required, ask for fresh consent.
